Superman is having a big moment at the box office. Warner Bros and DC Studios’ latest superhero movie opened with $125 million, which is actually higher than what many people expected just a day before, according to Deadline.
It’s actually a decent movie. I wonder how people are liking the sci-fi parts of it though.
That’s pretty high praise. DC live-action movies are usually terrible.
This movie is like a comic book brought to life. Hopefully the rest of their movies can match or exceed it, and theyll be fine.
I can just imagine the guerrilla marketing campaign for Super Girl:
“This movie is about an anchor baby that fights crime while trying to obtain citizenship…”
It’s outperforming the 2013 “Man of Steel” ($116M), although lower than the 2016 “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” ($166M) and 2022 “The Batman” ($134M) releases. So… shrug
At $225M to produce and another $200M to market, that train better keep rolling if they want to stick the landing.
Why is Dan Hentschel featuring in this movie?
