As a gay guy, I can see it

I’m not saying the books are genius, I’m saying the move to write the books for a specific generation is genius. Like most books in a series will be written all in the same style. The HP books were written to ‘grow up’ along with the people who were reading them. That idea and tactic was genius. Literally nothing else.

It pisses me off so bad that JK Rowling had to be a fucking transphobic racist piece of shit. This is me off to an extreme extent because she is a fucking genius author when it comes to one thing. She chose one generation and then wrote a story specifically for that generation, having the writing style get older with the generation. And then she wasted it by being a horrible, bigoted piece of shit and filling the story with the same type of garbage. Like credit where credit is due. That one thing that she did is fucking genius. But she had to ruin it by being herself. Goddammit.

For the record, I’m not saying she’s the only one to have done this or anything, but doing that and capturing that type of magic for a child will easily become an important part of that person’s life. She could have told so many amazing stories and morals to help people be a better person as they grew up and she didn’t. Fucking colonoscopy of a human.

Nope. I don’t use a script. While I am aware that some people on Lemmy do, I don’t. Here’s what I do for my steps (which you can verify by looking at the specific timing of each post).

I open up a tab and I open up a file explorer. I split them so the files are on the left side and the tab is on the right. Then I middle click the folder called ‘Lemmy’ which opens up the posting page of every single community that I post in. I then click on a folder for each appropriate community. The files are named a random string of letters and I scroll to the bottom of the folder and start looking up from there. I find ones that I like to post at the moment that make me giggle and then I drag the file to the ‘browse’ button on the new tab. While it is uploading I make up a title (usually shitty). When the file is done uploading, I scroll down to the bottom of the page and click submit. When the page loads and shows the file was uploaded correctly, I close the tab and move on to the next one. If the file didn’t upload correctly (or if I change my mind on a title or something) I edit the post. Then I move on to the next tab.

The files are not uploaded at the same time. Some have minutes between, some have seconds. Depends on how long it takes for me to find a post that I like.

And just because why the fuck not… I’m going to go ahead and do a bunch of posts right now while listening to the stupid BBC music that I usually do and record me doing what I do. Just to shut @NotASharkInAManSuit@lemmy.world up. Takes no real extra effort from me but will either demonstrate that the dude is just being antagonistic for the sake of it or if he’s actually willing to listen to anyone.

I was supposed to have a new dude move in, a relative of my sisters friend. That friend then turned around today telling me not to let him in because he’s apparently gotten a drug problem and has been fucking the family over. So that was fun to find out last of the month.

I had somebody send me an essay written by chat GPT a couple of days ago It was going off about all the various retcons that Star Trek Discovery had done as well as all the times they broke canon, specifically with technology. It’s straight up made up multiple episodes and even invented an entire season. Only one claim was slightly accurate but that one is also disproven, just in a very small way. I hate humanity.
