I like this design, although I’m not sure if it’s cast iron.
And for those monsters who want zero corner pieces, you can always make one of these
Haha, just joking about Masks. I do seriously not get the absolute adoration for Inner Light however. It’s a good episode but it wouldn’t make my top five. Stuff like Schisms and the one where Picard gets tortured beats it for me.
Masks is peak TNG, fite me lol
Dang, the time cube dude was right all along
have practical empirical knowledge of the rest of the sensory world too.
Oho, that’s a pretty bold statement of belief for someone who can’t prove they’re not a brain in a vat!
More seriously though, there are tons of things that have conflicting evidence or are simply too big or complex to have enough evidence to have definitive proof for, yet we still have to make decisions about them. Like believing that X vs Y is a better governing system (eg democracy vs republic). Or what about questions that aren’t related to proof, like defining and living by ethical standards? Yet most people still find value in “moral” things, and believe that people should do “good” instead of “bad”.
I had a blade extending from my hand and cut down everything we passed like telephone poles and trees and mailboxes but I couldn’t let it touch metal so I had to angle my hand up if we passed anything like that.
Did you ever go through say, a hawk or kite phase before settling on owls?
tigeruppercut@lemmy.zipto World News@lemmy.world•Macron: Trump has realised Putin has been lying to himEnglish1·11 days agoHe’s not a complete idiot, but he has very little knowledge, which in many situations is almost the same thing. However, I wouldn’t underestimate his daddy issues. Even a highly intelligent person (which he definitely is not) can fall to inner biases, and I wouldn’t put it past dictators to fit neatly into the hole in his heart from never receiving papa’s love.
What’s the goddamn dog barking at? I thought you were gonna tell the kid to get rid of that fucking mutt.

Well this is fucking crazy to me. Almost every single form you ever have to write your name on in Japan also has a section that you have to write the phonetic reading of it as well. The fact that it doesn’t exist on the family register is absolutely bonkers. I know Japan hates updating things, but even back in the day there were multiple readings for the same kanji characters, and the government being ok with ambiguity on official documents is blowing my mind.
Even before the shiny names the article is talking about the names could be wildly different. We’re not talking about not knowing if Ashleigh is pronounced Ash-lee or Ash-lay, it’s like 里香 being commonly read as either Rika or Satoko.

That’ll be the catalyst, but it’s rooted decades of wealth inequality and oppression. Bloviating "strong"men can’t gain power in societies where most people are thriving.
So you thought suggesting another addictive RPG was the correct response here??
Seriously though, seems fun–I tried to go through one dungeon and died very quickly. Looks like it has a lot of depth though, so I’ll probably wait until I have a break to give it a real go. Looks a bit more accessible than Caves of Qud, so I might actually have a chance of getting somewhere.
Plus getting a third of the way into the game and if you didn’t take the junk mail at the beginning you have to restart.
