It could have also started from that and continued on despite people not knowing the reason, no? I do agree that it’s quite silly and unlikely, though.
I’ve also heard that, because in Latin IV is the beginning of “IVPPITER” (Jupiter), there’s a theory that people avoided using “IV” as to not “disrespect” the god’s name. 🤷♀️
Also, on a 12 hour clock, 3 sets of four looks clean af I guess, e.g.:
I’ll watch 4 or more videos that I’ll jump between tabs of on my PC, but I’ll only have one playing at a time. Watch one for like 5 minutes, attentions lulls, switch to another. Later, the attention for one of the others increases, so I’ll jump back to it.
It’s like…staggered consumption. My attention is weird.
…It absolutely fails miserably fairly often and would likely crash that frequently without human intervention, though. Not to the extent here, where there isn’t even time for human intervention, but I frequently had to take over when I used to use it (post v13)
