It really ties the room together
Senior Chief Petty Officer. Starfleet is in my blood, and I’ve spent my entire adult life in service to boldly going.
Keiko and Molly are my favorite humans, but Transporter Room 3 will always be my favorite.
Just don’t ask who what’s in the pattern buffer.
It really ties the room together
Just a thought experiment, how sink-proof are these things?
If someone were to build a homemade submarine with a drill, how many holes would one have to theoretically drill to make a yatch sink?
That’s actually a common misconception.
It’s not because Japanese ninjas are bad at being ninjas, it’s just that other countries ninjas are completely invisible to the naked eye.
Obviously we all know we can see our own country’s ninjas, but other countries are invisible.
Thanks to years of cultural import/export, most humans can naturally see Japanese ninjas.
So congrats, if you can see a Japanese ninja, you’re actually just close to being a weeb.
But the economy has never been stronger!
Of course it’s held together by billionaires in bunkers trading stocks in companies that no longer exist, and they only have their food storage remaining until they all die, but hey… The economy!
And then if you don’t have a/c, you get blessed with DoT reducing to only -1hp/min instead of -1hp/sec.
Why not just tattoo a number on their arm?
I’m sure there’s no possibility that subdermal trackers would ever be used in shitty ways.
I remember my mother taking me into a store when I was a child where people were striking.
I asked why they were yelling since I couldn’t read the signs. I was told “because they’re lazy and think they should be paid more than people like your father”
It was many years before I understood what they were mad about, and that they do NOT believe they should be paid more, they believe everyone should be paid more but they only have control over their own employment.
Nowadays whenever I see employees striking, I give them a little fist out the window and a meep meep and shop somewhere else.
Don’t cross picket lines, your nacho cheese or deodorant can be bought somewhere else. Bonus points if you call the employer to inform them that you are shopping elsewhere until their employees conditions have been met and they decide to end the strike.
OK, boomer
Well yeah, if you’re trapped in one of our many prisons, you get to look forward to slave labor! Slavery is perfectly legal and constitutional, as per the 13th amendment.
As an American, seconded.
I’m trapped here, don’t YOU risk being kidnapped and trapped here or sent somewhere worse just because you wanted to see the Grand Canyon.
That banner SLAMMED Jeff bezoz!
I’m sure he didn’t just chuckle to himself and sleep even more soundly at night.
“Tourists hit cyclist and fled the scene”
… Probably Americans.
reads the very next line
Wow, I’m soooooo surprised. Shocked, even.
Can American tourists not be shit for FIVE MINUTES???
“genocide is okay as long as it’s the right people”
-someone insane
Forums were everywhere, and most websites from private entities looked like someone vomited gifs and word art everywhere. Backgrounds were the most insane of colors and oh my god I just now realized one of the sites I used to visit in the early 2000s was popular with trans people, the trans flag was all over the place and literally was the background
Also MySpace.
That’s literally what it feels like: being stuck in an objective (the planet) and you have a teammate that’s SUPER gung ho about the fact he’s got a bomb vest (nukes) on that will go off if he dies, and you’re just praying he doesn’t catch a stray round (attack) while shooting at people from the doorway (doing proxy war things or just straight up committing/supporting genocide/ethnic cleansing/war of extermination/etc) or lose connection (leadership going insane).
If any of those things happen, you know you’re all toast. And it’s all mostly outside of your control.
I hate to use video games as a metaphor for literal nuclear war and sorry for spelling it out like I’m talking to a child but I felt it was needed for clarity.
We’re all on the planet together, and no one will ever be able to force everyone into submission, the more we fight the shorter time we have as a species.
nobody should have nuclear weapons.
Sometimes I wonder what the world would be like if the scientists working on the Manhattan project had all agreed it’s too much and intentionally sabotage every test.
Yeah, but this way you get to make sure your intended target actually gets hit instead of assuming the following nuclear wastwland would destroy your target like everything else.
It’s like the Martyrdom perk in fps games. You die and drop a grenade or c4 pack or something and explode, hopefully taking out the person who killed you.
It’s just a dead-man switch to get the AD part of MAD.
Effective? Maybe.
Incredibly stupid? Yes.
Is that stopping the US and Russia from doing it? Lolno we invented this dumb shit.
The world is run by insane people who would rather see the planet scorched into a lifeless rock than admit their way of doing things might be wrong.
My first introduction to them was Yuve Yuve Yu, also a banger.
I got a little hyper fixated on throat singing one week and they popped into my feed. Bike rides and road trips have never been the same.
Considering the channel owner is heavily left leaning, I don’t think it was them but they may be getting extra cautious about what speech they allow, given the current regime.
I’m so glad the people around me who live nowhere near a field voted to kill field-to-solar projects around here, the factories and warehouses that went up where there used to be lovely views of the hills are much better. All that extra pollution and noise really adds something special to the day.
