I still use Sync because I’m stubborn and too lazy to learn anything new.

Only 1 person I’ve ever tagged, who posts content I’m not interested in seeing, but I don’t feel like they deserved a straight-up block since they’re still active in discussions elsewhere. My app allows me to filter them without blocking them so I don’t see their posts but I still see their (default hidden) comments that I can open, so I just have a tag to remind me why.
Recurring trolls I just block, so I don’t even see them to necessitate tags to begin with.

Well, depending on which hemisphere you’re standing in, at least. We arbitrarily set this idea that north = up in most depictions of the globe, but we could just as easily make Antarctica the top of the world and everything rotates the other way.
The reason why clockwise is what it is, is because sundials were first used to tell time in the northern hemisphere, where the shadows move clockwise. If it was in the southern hemisphere, they’d have moved counterclockwise (which would be clockwise).
Stovetop@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.ml•Israel accused of ethnic cleansing after more than 140 killed in Gaza in 24 hours1·4 days agoBefore anyone assumes “ethnic cleansing” strategies like forced sterilization or migration don’t count as genocide, I propose the definitions of genocide outlined in the 1948 UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide:
(a) Killing members of the group;
(b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
© Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;
(d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;
(e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group

Stovetop@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•If real-life had D&D stats, what would yours look like? Would you focus new points on any in particular?1·11 days ago- Str 3
- Dex 5
- Con 4
- Int 5
- Wis 4
- Cha 2
D&D characters are capable of superhuman feats even with standard stats, so I’d estimate mine pretty low.
Could be good, Alex Garland is a very competent director.
The question is, what kind of story are they looking to tell? They can’t do a full chronology and having a simple “Tarnished kills all of the bosses” type of story would be very boring.
