Does reading medicine books count too? Since we’re all driving human bodies 24/7? Or is it just turtles down to the bottom of the tech layer.

Hierarchy!
Man, don’t you know? The law ain’t made to help earthy cats like us. Here on our planet, back in the old days - back in the real old days - it was just every man for himself, scrooblin’ and scrat-scroblin’ for the good stuff, the greenest valleys. And the strongest, meanest men got the best stuff. They got the green valleys and were like ‘The rest of you, y’all scrats get sand.’ And that’s when they made the laws, you see? Once the strong guys got it how they liked it, they said ‘This is fair now, this is the law.’ Once they were winning, they changed the rules up

“Um actually, wit is actually a subjective phenomenon, with everyone having a different idea of what it actually means. How could such a construct actually possess a ‘soul’? And that’s not even getting started on the assertion that souls actually exist in any real way”.

I choose not to. I can choose to be hopeful for the future without being unrealistic. I can see intrinsic value in human life and the human experience even knowing that every single one of us will die at some point, some peacefully, some during suffering. The moment of death doesn’t have to define one’s life. Even a baby who lives for six hours has spent infinitely more time living than dying. Would you be so nihilistic as to erase that life, just because it was short?
Your philosophy is valid; it’s not necessarily correct.
Starting from the assumption that it is denies you the opportunity to see things from a different perspective.
