The fact that you include terms like “trans agenda” and “transgenderism” in your post are pretty clear indications that you’re not serious about avoiding rudeness.
Surely replying with the same question over and over will eventually get you the answer you’re hoping for
Lemmy is a place I prefer to be as anonymous as I can while still participating so I don’t set one for myself and I use voyager the vast majority of the time so I don’t see anyone else’s. I personally don’t find profile pictures/avatars add anything to the experience for me.
I love that Sandy is basically the unofficial mascot of this community
A sleep study would probably be a good idea just to make sure you’re not stopping breathing while snoring - AKA obstructive sleep apnea. A sleep doctor may even have some other ideas like custom dental appliance or things other commenters and I aren’t aware of.
CPAP worked for me, dental appliance did not, nasal strips never worked
I don’t think anyone using the term “slop” thinks it’s brave or leaving anyone else in tears and shambles. I’m fairly certain when folks say they’re tired of AI slop they literally mean they’re tired of AI slop.
This is ILM, though, considering what they’ve accomplished in the past with hands-on tools, for the current chief creative officer to embrace AI so wholeheartedly, and for the result to just be “animal crossed with animal”, it’s pretty disappointing
Honestly bring up everything you think may be relevant. Did you use a certain system, software, or equipment, but only once or twice? I think you should still mention it, especially if it’s esoteric. You may be nearly equal to another candidate, but the fact you’ve even seen that thing may put you ahead. I prefaced with “honest” because overselling your actual experience or knowledge rarely ends well.
Mention any self study you’ve done, too, even if it hasn’t resulted in a degree or certification. Folks like to know you have interest in expanding your skills.
Apply for jobs even if the description seems only tenuously connected to what you’re looking for. I’ve seen some awful postings compared to what the actual work was going to be. It’s obnoxious and absurd that there’s such a disconnect, and ends up being extra work, but you may be surprised by what turns up.
