In a few years, perplexed Israelis will be trying to explain the next round of violence with “they hate us because we’re Jewish”.

This normalization of assassinations is really going to bite them back. But when it does, they’re going to cry “terrorism”.

In the meantime, it becomes impossible to negotiate anything, since anyone sticking their head out as leadership becomes a target. They are all but guaranteeing the continuation of the war.

Maybe at some point the Americans will get scared that the Chinese are actually making strides ahead of them in electrification and decarbonization to actually get unstuck from their idiotic culture war over fossil fuels.
